WHY APPLY?

Are you interested in Work-Based Learning for Fall 2026? The Druid Hills High School Work-Based Learning Program is an opportunity for students to gain real-world experience, develop valuable skills, prepare for a successful career ahead, all while earning course credit!  For Fall 2026, students must have a job by August 13, 2026 to be considered for acceptance into the program. 

 

However, it is highly recommended that you start applying for jobs early so that you can be accepted early.  All jobs and internships must be approved by Mrs. Christian.

How many Work Hours are Required for WBL?

1 period of WBL=Must work 10 or more hours a week
2 periods of WBL = Must work 15 or more hours a week
3 periods of WBL = Must work 20 or more hours a week
 
When will I hear back about my application?
Responses will be from April-August 2026.  Please check your text messages and emails for correspondence from Mrs. Christian.  Make sure your application is filled in accurately.  Do all of the steps and make sure your teachers' recommendations are complete and your transcript is emailed.  Directions for this are included on the application.

Thank you for your interest in DHHS Work-Based Learning.  Every student who submits an application, teachers' recommendations and transcript will be emailed via your school email with a response between April and August 2026.
